Intended as a short intro, this one takes a gentle (?) deep dive into Emotional Intelligence (EQ or EI) through the lens of the EQ-i 2.0. Join Jess while she walks through the definitions of EQ (there's a couple!), touches in on where her EQ curiosity got sparked, and the skills inside the EQ-i 2.0 that offer anyone the opportunity to put their emotions to work in a *way that works* based on what you're up to or what you're after. Grab a pen and a notebook (for the analog-lovers - your favourite note-taking app will also do nicely) - you might want to jot a couple o' these skills down.

Two gals started a podcast to give their freshly-minted-parent selves what they were looking for: a space for honest conversations about the whirlwind of parenting and everything that comes along with it...emotions and feelings very much included. In the words of Not Your Mommy (this week's guests): both entrepreneurs, creatives, and the furthest thing from trad wives, Katie and Liz were looking for supportive, informative mom content when they had their sons. It didn't exist so they created Not Your Mommy, a podcast for the alt mom. They have candid conversations about everything from mental health to reality TV, and chat with other moms who are doing it differently. This week, they're chatting with me about their take on motherhood and the emotions someone can so easily get lost in - plus a whole lot more.
